The room was well-maintained, with a nice little kitchen area equipped with all the necessary pots and pans. The view of Grandfather Mountain from the parking lot was breathtaking. The lodge area was cozy and inviting, and we enjoyed spending time there. The availability of grills under a shelter was a great bonus for a barbecue lover like me. Despite some external updates needed, the overall experience was pleasant. The pool area, with its new roof, was a refreshing spot to relax. We also loved dining at the nearby Peddlin Pig. I highly recommend this place for its great staff, good views, and updated, clean rooms.

For the price we paid, we got great value with a well-equipped room, including extra towels, pillows, and even a wine corkscrew. The property itself was beautiful and conveniently located near ski resorts, Grandad Mountain, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the indoor pool was a hit for families.
The only thing that could have made breakfast better was more variety in the menu options.

The location of this hotel was perfect for my business trip. It was conveniently situated on the main road with a stunning view of the nearby mountain. The retro vibe of the lodge added a unique charm to my stay, and I appreciated the character it had. Despite the dated decor, the rooms were comfortable and offered all the necessary amenities. The friendly and helpful staff made me feel welcome and provided me with helpful maps and recommendations. I also enjoyed the variety of events that were organized during my stay, such as movie nights and ice cream events. it was a good value for the price.
